I hope this is a place where women can come a talk about ministry without worrying about being judged. We all go through a lot in our ministries & we need a place to vent, cry, overreact, encourage and uplift. I have been thinking about doing this for a while, but haven't put my plan into action.
I will start with a little about me...
I have grown up in church-my dad was a bi vocational minister. I was saved when I was 8 & I felt called into the ministry when I was 16 (though, being a girl I didn't know exactly what that meant for me). While I was in college I worked in the church in various ways with college/youth. I met my husband, who was also called to the ministry when he was 16, and we have been married for 5 years & 4 months at this point. We have one daughter & another due in October. In the short time we have been married my husband has been a youth pastor, lead pastor & blue collar worker. We have moved 7 times. We have currently been at our church, where he is a student pastor, for a little over a year.
I don't think I have all of the answers, sometimes I wonder if i know anything at all. We have definitely had rough (and I mean rough) times in our ministry & in our marriage. Marrying a pastor changed my role in ministry & being a mom has changed it even more (I know that being a mom of 2 will bring further changes). I know that we are doing what God has called us to do & I know He has even greater things in store for us. I hope that this blog will develop a community of women who can share with each other & be better because of one another. We will see how all of this develops (as I'm sure that right now I have no followers:)
